Dragons Breath Solar have been involved with renewable energy for a very long time. We tend to concentrate with off-grid systems, spare parts and general topics around the battery storage facilities.

Around 15 years ago, we had an idea and built a product designed especially for the UK market.

We designed a solar streetlight, that can be used in remote locations, car parks, walkways, play areas, marina’s, etc, etc, on new lamp posts or columns to match localized needs.

These can be retro fitted to existing lamp posts as long as the do not have metal fatigue (rust). Retro fitting can be used when for instance rodents have chewed through the mains cables and it becomes a nightmare to dig up roads or footpaths. This usually this is not a cost-effective option for local authorities.

Helping to keep certain backwater locations illuminated by a simple repurposing. We offer new lamp post for locations where illumination has never existed. These are locations that usually are not highway areas, as solar streetlighting is generally designed to not be used in mainstream locations. Think only off-grid locations for B2B and B2C customers.

We have over the years developed a vandal resistant product. This has the accredited to IK10 standards. We make sure all material parts are fully hot dipped galvanized finish to prevent corrosion for 25+ years around the UK. For skate parks, play areas, car parks, walkways, marinas, and areas that need illumination for health and safety. Areas where flooding creates a problem with mains powered luminaries. Our lights can be positioned at almost any location to disburse anti-social behavior.
