Impact-resistant solar lighting for vulnerable and demanding outdoor locations
Our vandal resistant solar lighting system is designed for outdoor locations where lighting equipment may be at greater risk of damage. The system combines an impact-resistant solar panel, LED lighting and LiFePO4 battery storage to provide a robust off-grid lighting solution.
The system is particularly suited to vulnerable locations where conventional lighting equipment may be exposed to vandalism or accidental damage.
Impact-Resistant Solar Lighting
The solar panel is mounted onto a strong aluminium base plate structure and is secured to the column using tamper-resistant fixings.
The lighting unit incorporates an IK10 impact-resistant glass panel and cast aluminium housing, providing protection for the LED lighting equipment in demanding outdoor environments.
Solar Lighting with LiFePO4 Battery Storage
The integrated LiFePO4 battery system provides stored energy for operation after dark, with the existing specification providing approximately 2–3 days of built-in autonomy.
The lighting system uses photocell-controlled operation to provide background illumination after dusk. When movement is detected, the sensor can increase the lighting output for a defined period.
Flexible Solar Panel Positioning
The light unit is mounted on an arm that can be positioned above or below the solar panel. This allows the panel and lighting arm to be arranged separately according to the requirements of the site
The solar panel can be positioned to maximise available solar gain, helping the system make effective use of available daylight.
